This handy lamp is designed by George Sowden for indoor and outdoor dry location use. The brightness of the LED light source is dimmable to suit the desired use. A USB cable is supplied for charging the battery. Battery life from full charge is 4 hours to 10 hours, depending on the degree of brightness. George Sowden studied architecture at Gloucestershire College of Art. In the 1970s, Sowden moved to Milan to work with names such as Ettore Sottsass and Olivetti, and in the 1980s he became one of the founders of the design collective, Memphis Group. He has won numerous design prizes including the prestigious Compasso d'Oro Award. He has designed numerous products for the Danish brand Hay. Today he continues to live and work in Milan.
